Objective To analyze the accuracy of serum C-peptide combined with glycated hemoglobin A1c test in the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 60 patients with suspected diabetes mellitus admitted to Beijing Changping Hospital from March 2022 to March 2024 were selected as the research objects. All patients underwent se-rum C-peptide and glycated hemoglobin A1c test.Oral glucose tolerance test was used as the gold standard for the di-agnosis of diabetes mellitus. The diagnostic efficacy of serum C-peptide combined with glycated hemoglobin A1c test and single detection was compared. Results Oral glucose tolerance test confirmed positive 48 cases, negative in 12 cases.Serum C-peptide test detected positive in 39 cases and negative in 21 cases, glycated hemoglobin A1c test de-tected positive in 40 cases and negative in 20 cases, serum C-peptide combined with glycated hemoglobin A1c test detected 47 positive cases and 13 negative cases. The accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of the combined test were higher than those of the single test of serum C peptide and glycated hemoglobin A1c,and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The diagnostic efficacy of serum C-peptide combined with glycated hemo-globin A1c is higher than that of single detection, and it has high application value.
