Objective To investigate the diagnostic efficacy of combined detection of serum uric acid(SUA)and cys-tatin C(CysC)in diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods The clinical data of 50 patients with DN admitted to Guang-zhou First People's Hospital Nansha Hospital from January 2021 to August 2024 were retrospectively selected as the study group, and the clinical data of 320 patients with simple type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)were collected as the control group. They were tested for SUA and CysC levels of two groups. The levels of SUA and CysC were compared between the two groups, and the diagnostic efficacy of SUA,CysC alone and combined detection for DN were ana-lyzed.Results The levels of SUA and CysC in the study group were(762.56±58.36)µmol/L and(5.56±0.13)mg/L,which were higher than(589.39±53.47)µmol/L and(3.41±0.27)mg/L in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=21.031,55.267,both P<0.05).The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of combined detection of SUA and CysC were higher than those of single detec-tion,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The sensitivity and specificity of com-bined detection of SUA and CysC levels in DN are high, which can significantly improve the accuracy of diagnosis and provide strong support for early clinical detection and treatment of DN.
