Objective To analyze the effect of metformin combined with insulin aspart 30 in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and its effect on islet function.Methods A total of 86 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to Zhongshan District People's Hospital of Liupanshui from August 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the re-search objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into single group and combined group,with 43 cases in each group.The single group was treated with insulin aspart 30,and the combined group was treated with metformin combined with insulin aspart 30.The blood glucose indexes,islet function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postprandial plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the combined group were lower than those in the single group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance,homeostatic model assessment of β-cell function,fasting insulin and C-peptide levels in the combined group were better than those in the single group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Met-formin combined with insulin aspart 30 is more effective in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus,which can re-duce blood glucose level of patients,improve islet function,and has high safety.
