Objective To analyze the effects of insulin detemir combined with metformin on the glycemic control ef-fect,inflammatory factors,and safety of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)patients.Methods A total of 96 GDM pa-tients admitted to Hui'an County Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,with 48 cases in each group.The conventional group was treated with metformin,and the exploratory group was treated with insulin detemir on the basis of the conventional group.Blood glucose levels,serum inflammatory factor levels and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the levels of fasting plasma glucose,2-hour postpranpranal plasma glucose,glycated hemoglobin A1c,interleukin-6,interleukin-8 and tumor necrosis factor-α in the exploratory group were lower than those in the conventional group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the inci-dence of adverse reactions of the exploratory group was slightly higher than that of the conventional group,but the dif-ference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Insulin detemir combined with metformin in the treat-ment of GDM patients showed significant advantages in glycemic control effect and reducing inflammatory response,with high safety.
