Effect of Modified Liujunzi Decoction on Islet Function in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus of Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Type in the Treat-ment of Glucose Control
Objective To study the application effect of modified Liujunzi Decoction in the treatment of blood glucose control in diabetes mellitus with spleen deficiency and dampness type and its effect on islet function.Methods From February 2023 to February 2024,a total of 136 patients with spleen deficiency and dampness type diabetes mellitus in Yongchun County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as the research objects.According to differ-ent treatment methods,they were divided into two groups,68 cases in each group.The conventional group treated with metformin combined with insulin glargine,and the observation group treated with modified Liujunzi Decoction on the basis of the conventional group.The glucose control effect,islet function and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score were compared between the two groups.Results After 3 months of treatment,the fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the observation group were lower than those in the conven-tional group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the insulin re-sistance index and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the observation group were lower than those of the conventional group,and the islet β cell function index was higher than that of the conventional group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional Western medicine treatment,modi-fied Liujunzi Decoction has a significant effect on diabetic patients with spleen deficiency and dampness type.It can improve the effect of glucose control and promote the recovery of islet function,and improve the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score.
