Objective To analyze the effect of cognitive behavioral nursing combined with empowerment theory inter-vention in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 80 patients with gestational diabetes melli-tus admitted to Fuzhou Second General Hospital Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to different nursing methods,the patients were divided into con-trol group(40 cases,routine nursing intervention)and study group(40 cases,cognitive behavioral nursing combined with empowerment theory intervention).The blood glucose indexes,self-management behavior score,anxiety and de-pression score and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing,the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin A1c in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After nursing,the self-management behavior score of the study group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the scores of anxiety and depression in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Cognitive behavioral nursing combined with empowerment theory intervention can improve the blood glu-cose level of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus,improve self-management behavior,improve bad mood,and have higher nursing satisfaction.
