Exploring the Effect of Combined Treatment with Domperidone and Epal-restat on the Improvement of Clinical Symptoms in Patients with Diabetic Gastroparesis
Objective To explore the combination effect of domperidone and epalastat on improving clinical symptoms in patients with diabetic gastroparesis(DG).Methods A total of 84 patients with DG admitted to Qixia Hospital of Tra-ditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to June 2024 were selected and divided into two groups according to dif-ferent treatment methods, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with domperidone alone, and the combined group was treated with domperidone combined with epalrestat. The gastric function index, gastric emptying rate, symptom score and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the pep-sinogen Ⅰ,pepsinogen Ⅱ,gastrin-17 and gastric emptying rate in the combined group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the symptom scores of the combined group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the incidence of complications in the combined group was slightly higher than that in the con-trol group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of domperidone and epalostat in patients with DG can significantly improve their clinical symptoms, improve the level of gastric function index and gastric emptying rate, and did not significantly increase the risk of complications.
