The disease characteristics of type 1 diabetes mellitus are large fluctuations in blood glucose and heteroge-neity in islet function,so more accurate assessment and management are needed.In recent years,it has been found that the blood glucose information contained in continuous glucose monitoring system can assist in assessing the islet function of patients.Therefore,this article reviews the application of continuous glucose monitoring system in assess-ing the islet function of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
