With the development of information technology,the information-based home care mode provides more choices for elderly diabetic patients.This mode provides convenience for real-time monitoring of patients'condition and collection and analysis of health data through intelligent equipment,telemedicine and other means.However,in the application process,which faces problems such as low technology acceptance of the elderly population,data secu-rity and privacy protection.In response to these challenges,which is necessary to improve data security and privacy protection mechanisms.In the future,information-based home care needs to carry out technological innovation and implement resource integration in order to play a more important role,so as to further improve the quality of life of el-derly patients with diabetes mellitus.
