Objective:To explore the effect of laparoscopic surgery on the treatment and postoperative rehabilitation of early and middle stage rectal cancer. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to select 140 patients with rectal cancer admitted to our hospital from July 2021 to July 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group using sequential method. The observation group(n=70)was treated with laparoscopic surgery, while the control group(n=70)was treated with conventional surgery.A follow-up was conducted 1 month after the operation to compare the treatment effect.Results:(1)The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).(2)The operation time, postoperative hospitalization time, and the first postoperative intestinal exhaust time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the intraoperative bleeding volume was less than that in the control group(P<0.05).(3)Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the comparison of malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, neutrophils, and lymphocytes between the two groups(P>0.05).After surgery, all indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Laparoscopic surgery has a significant therapeutic effect on early and middle stage rectal cancer, which can accurately reduce surgical injury, reduce the risk of postoperative complications, and promote postoperative recovery. It is worthy of clinical adoption and promotion.
