Objective:analyze the application effect and clinical value of nursing intervention in the operation room in the prevention of gastrointestinalincision infection.Methods:120 patients who underwent gastrointestinal surgery in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected for thestudy.According to the way of randomization，they were divided into the control group(including 60 cases)and the observation group(including 60 cases).The former received routine nursing intervention，while the latter received operating room nursing intervention.The rate of incision infection was counted，the length of hospital stay and hospitalization cost of patients were recorded，and their satisfaction with nursing was assessed.Results:The incision infectionrate of observation group was 1.67% lower than that of control group(15.00%)，the difference was significant(P<0.05).The length of hospitalization and hospitalization cost in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of observation group was higher than control group，the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the prevention of gastrointestinal incision infection，the implementation of operating room nursing intervention can reduce the incision infection rate，shorten the length of hospital stay，reduce hospitalization costs，optimize patient satisfaction，and is worth promoting.
