Objective:investigate the expression of TLR2 and TLR3 in peripheral blood of patients with epilepsy secondary to viral encephalitis.Methods60 patients with viral encephalitis from the department of Neurology, the First People's Hospital of Zunyi from January 2020 and January 2022were divided into epilepsy group(N = 30)and non-epilepsy group(N = 30).According to the abnormal degree of electroencephalogram, the epilepsy group was divided into mild, moderate and severe abnormal groups.According to the status of seizure and recovery of disturbance of consciousness after 1 month treatment. The levels of TLR2 and TLR3 in peripheral blood were detected by ELISA.ResultsThe levels of TLR2 and TLR3 in the patients with epilepsy were higher than those in the controls(p<0.05), and the levels of TLR2 and TLR3 in the patients with severe abnormal EEG were higher than those in the patients with moderate or mild abnormal EEG(p<0.05).The levels of TLR2 and TLR3 in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group(p<0.05).ConclusionTthe increased levels of TLR2 and TLR3 in the peripheral blood of patients with epilepsy secondary to acute viral encephalitis have certain value for the severity and short-term prognosis of the patients.
