Carrying out the suitability evaluation of territorial space development is an important prereq-uisite and basis for achieving regional coordinated development and sustainable development.Taking Yichang City as the research object,this paper constructs an evaluation index system for the suitability of land space development from three dimensions:the carrying capacity of resources and environment,the existing development intensity and the economic development potential,and uses the grey system theory model and Top-sis model to evaluate the suitability of local land space development.The results show that the overall spa-tial distribution of the suitability of land space development in Yichang City has a relatively high cluster-ing feature;In terms of local spatial distribution,the high-high polymer species are distributed in the central core urban area of Yichang City,and the high-low polymer species are distributed in Yiling District and Dianjun District;Low-oligomers are distributed in southwest regions and counties;The insignificant ar-eas are mainly distributed in the districts and counties around Yichang City;The hot spot analysis shows that the suitability of land space development in Yichang City converges to the middle,that is,the middle becomes a hot spot for development,and also shows that the overall spatial agglomeration of the suitability of land space development in Yichang City is relatively unbalanced.
