Based on the sample data of 19 listed commercial banks in the Yangtze River Economic Belt during 2018-2021,this paper comprehensively analyzes the operating performance of listed commercial banks in the Yangtze River Economic Belt by using factor analysis method.The results show that profitability,risk con-trol ability and development ability have a great impact on the business performance of commercial banks,and the development ability index has the greatest impact on the business performance of commercial banks.Listed commercial banks in the Yangtze River Economic Belt are mainly concentrated in the downstream Yangtze River Delta region,and the overall operating performance of listed city commercial banks is better than that of rural commercial banks,while the operating performance of joint-stock commercial banks declines.Fur-thermore,regression analysis is made on the factors affecting the operating performance of listed commer-cial banks in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The empirical results show that in the micro level,asset scale and net interest margin have a significant promoting effect on the operating performance of listed commer-cial banks in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Among the macro factors,GDP growth rate and money supply play a significant role in promoting bank performance.
