At present,rural tourism in our country has entered the stage of high quality development from rapid development.Previous studies have mainly looked at the development of rural tourism from the resource supply or tourist demand side and are lack of operator perspective.Through questionnaires and in-depth in-terviews of rural tour operator,this paper investigates the predicament of high-quality development of ru-ral tourism in Guangzhou,explores the causes of the predicament,and proposes the optimal path of high-quality development of rural tourism on this basis.The results show that there are three problems of the ru-ral tourism development in Guangzhou:insufficient development and protection,ineffective management and imperfect service guarantee system.On this basis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures,such as es-tablishing multi-participation construction fund raising mechanism,improving basic rural tourism public service supply system,creating characteristic rural tourism brand and mobilizing relevant interest groups to participate in management.This study has theoretical significance for promoting the high-quality devel-opment of rural tourism in Guangzhou,and it can also provide reference for the high-quality development of rural tourism in other places.
