Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Comrade Xi Jinping has made im-portant discussions on the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine for several times.These"traditional Chinese medicine discourses"have initially given the discourse power of traditional Chi-nese medicine at the official level.After the 19th National Congress,under the summary and integration of the major contradictions in the new era,Xi Jinping further emphasized the practical problems of the inheri-tance and development of traditional Chinese medicine,and put forward clear instructions for the inheri-tance and development of traditional Chinese medicine from the institutional,cultural and theoretical lev-els.Since the emergence of the COVID-19,Xi Jinping has put forward new expectations for the treatment of fe-brile diseases and scientific debate on traditional Chinese medicine for the whole process of prevention,di-agnosis,intervention and prognosis of COVID-19.Xi Jinping's"discourse of traditional Chinese medicine"on traditional Chinese medicine constructs the official pedigree of the discourse power of traditional Chinese medicine,outlines the time blueprint of the discourse power of traditional Chinese medicine,enriches the pragmatic space of the discourse power of traditional Chinese medicine,and highlights the value inquiry and humanistic care of the discourse power of traditional Chinese medicine.
