Exploration of the Training of Globally Competitive Tourism Talents in China's Higher Vocational Colleges Based on an International Certification System
The globalization of China's tourism industry and the on-going recovery of the international tourism market in the post-epidemic era will call for a large number of globally competitive talents of tour-ism.Given the fact that higher vocational colleges shoulder the important task of cultivating this kind of talents,it is an effective path to introduce an international accreditation system as to guide higher voca-tional colleges in this process.UNWTO-TedQual Certification,an well-recognized international accredita-tion system in tourism education,builds evaluation and assessment dimensions and indexes around the key ele-ments of international tourism professional teaching,and examines the quality of the tourism majors or pro-grams that apply for the certification.This paper analyzes the content and logic of this accreditation sys-tem and the Outcome-Based Education(OBE)concept it implies,which provides suggestions for the path of training globally competitive tourism talents in China's higher vocational colleges.
