Describe the three important types of participants in the academic literature service market:re-searchers(authors),users,and academic literature database providers(CNKI),clarify the economic busi-ness relationships among the three, and carve out the objective function of CNKI.With the goal of maximizing profit,we solve the problem of obtaining two optimal behaviors of CNKI:First, preventing authors from de-fending their rights;Second, increasing the subscription fee of the literature database.Since the optimal behavior of CNKI is contrary to its issued rectification measures,it is more difficult to implement the rec-tification measures such as protecting authors'rights and reducing database subscription fees. The funda-mental reason for this phenomenon is that knowledge is stored in a"centralized"way in CNKI,which makes it difficult to reconcile the conflict of interest between CNKI and authors due to the transfer of copyright. This paper argues that by handling knowledge(documents)in a"decentralized"way, the objective function of the website can be aligned with the interests of the authors. The study shows that exiting the intellectual property(copyright)business is conducive to the sustainable development of CNKI.
