Efficient development of Leisan gas reservoir in Zhongba Gas Field of the Sichuan Basin and its implications for the development of high sulfur gas reservoirs in China
The Leisan gas reservoir in the Zhongba Gas Field of the Sichuan Basin,which is independently developed in China,is the first large-medium high sulfur gas reservoir with water that is independently developed in China,and its recovery factor is currently up to 95%after over 50 years of exploration and development,which makes it a typical model of efficiently developed high sulfur gas reservoir in China.After systematically analyzing,summarizing and reviewing the geological characteristics,development construction process and achievements,and main development technologies of the Leisan gas reservoir,this paper elaborates on the guiding and foundational role of the efficient development of Leisan gas reservoir in China's large-scale monoblock complex high sulfur gas reservoirs.And the following research results are obtained.First,it has innovatively formed a multi-dimensional,total-factor and precise description strategy and efficient development model for the entire life cycle of high sulfur gas reservoirs with water,achieving a significant breakthrough in high production and long-term stable production of sparse wells in high sulfur gas reservoirs with water.Second,it has innovatively formed a series of technical systems for the development of high sulfur gas reservoirs with water,which integrates stimulation,blockage removal and acidizing,drainage and gas recovery,and boosting transportation,effectively solving the key production problems in the low pressure and ultra-low pressure development stages of high sulfur gas reservoirs during the middle and later periods of development.Third,it has innovatively established a wellbore-ground corrosion evaluation and prevention technology system for high sulfur gas reservoirs with water,forming the basic concept and technical system for overall corrosion control in domestic high sulfur gas field development(version 1.0).Fourth,it has innovatively developed organic sulfur removal solvents for acid gas and the sulfur recovery series catalysts with independent intellectual property rights,establishing version 1.0 of natural gas treatment technologies for high sulfur gas reservoirs,including desulfurization,dehydration,sulfur recovery,tail gas treatment,and light hydrocarbon recovery.Fifth,it has integrated,innovated and created the first whole-system safety risk control technology system for high sulfur gas reservoirs,ensuring a safe and stable operation of Leisan gas reservoir for nearly 40 years.In conclusion,the Leisan gas reservoir is a typical model for efficient development of similar high sulfur gas reservoirs in China,promoting innovative understanding and theoretical and technological breakthroughs.Based on its practice,the unique National Energy R&D Center of High-Sulfur Gas Reservoir Exploitation and the CNPC Pilot Test Base of High-Sulfur Gas Reservoir Exploitation have been built,laying a solid technical foundation for the accelerated development of high sulfur gas reservoir exploitation technology and the rapid production increase and stable production of high sulfur natural gas in China.
