Erosion and Desertification with Mountain Yimeng Typical Surface Soil Caused by Different Rainfall Intensity and Slope
The laboratory experiment was conducted under simulated rainfalls to research into the relationship between rainfall intensity, soil slope and the sediment yield of Yimeng mountain typical slope surface.Amounts of soil erosion increased with rainfall intensity increases. The increase of rainfall intensity and slope gradient can accelerate the occurrence and changes of rills, and the sediment delivery rate is drastically increased due to the occurrence and development of the rills, and presents certain fluctuations. For the brown soil, change of slope surface is the main factor generating sediment production and erosion during a small rainfall. When the rainfall intensity strengthened, the effects caused by rainfall intensity could gradually exceed that caused by slope changing. For the cinnamon, the change of rainfall intensity is always the main factor to affect the process of desertification. When the rainfall intensity and slop were all the same, the sand generate rate and soil erosion amounts with brown soil could always exceed with cinnamon.
