Effects of Combined Application of Different Ratios of Nitrate-N to Ammonium-N on the Growth and Nitrate Accumulation of Chinese Cabbage
With the pot experiments, it was investigated that the effects of combined applications of 7 different ratios of nitrate-N to ammonium-N (i.e. the ratios of NO_3~--N / NH_4~+-N were 3/1,2/1,3/2, 1/1,2/3,1/2 and 1/3, respectively.) on plants' tallness, weight, yield and nitrate's content of Chinese Cabbage. Results showed as follows. With the decrease of NO_3~--N / NH_4~+-N ratios in the designed range, plant's tallness, weight and yield of vegetable increased firstly and then decreased; while the content of nitrate in vegetable increased firstly and then decreased and finally increased. Compared with the treatment of NO_3~--N / NH_4~+-N 3/1, the tallness, weight and yield of plant increased respectively by 15.57%, 45.05% and 13.67% in treatment of NO_3~--N / NH_4~+-N 3/2; at the same time, the content of nitrate in vegetable decreased by 37.49 %. Therefore, the ratio of NO_3~--N / NH_4~+-N 2/3 was relatively better for the growth and the decrease of nitrate's content of Chinese Cabbage planted in soil.
