Fertilization is the key factor that affects soil nutrient transformations and supplies.A field study was conducted in two typical vineyards in Shanghai to assess the impacts of different fertilization methods on soil nutrient supplies and grape yield. The study results indicated that the supply capacity of soil nutrients in Jinshan vineyard was better than that in Fengxian vineyard due to the more reasonable fertilization method. The supply capacity of soil potassium (K) in Jinshan vineyard was also better than that in Fengxian vineyard, which could attribute to the later application time of K fertilizer in Jinshan vineyard, even though more K fertilizer was applied into soil in Fengxian vineyard. However, lower grape yield and economic benefits attributed to the stronger flower and fruit thinning measures in Jinshan vineyard. In general, the capacity of soil available nutrient in vineyard of Shanghai was at a high level with ASI analysis method.A quantitative or reducing fertilization method was recommendable in Shanghai vineyard in consideration of the balance between agricultural production inputs and environment protections.
