Effect of Electrokinetic Remediation on Lead Form in Soil and the Enrichment of Sedum Plumbizincicola
[Objective]The aim was to study the effect of electric restoration on soil lead(Pb)morphology and the enrichment of Sedum plumbizincicola.[Methods]One-dimensional(1D),two-dimensional(2D)and three-dimensional(3D)electrokinection-assisted phytoremediation(EKAPR)pot tests were constructed for contaminated red soil around Zhehai Town lead-zinc mine in Huize County,Yunnan Province.[Results]The soil pH values in different zones were different(cathode>middle>anode). The contents of weak acid extractable Pb were increased(up to 8.95 times higher than that before the test)with a trend of the anode>middle>cathode(increased with the voltage in 0-20 V).Appropriate electrokinetic mediation could promote the desorption of Pb in soil and increase the content of Pb in soil pore water as well as the growth of Sedum plumbizincicola(5 V>10 V>20 V,2 D>3 D>1 D),showing that the content and enrichment of Pb in the aboveground and underground parts of plants were significantly increased.[Conclusion]Electric repair could change the form of lead, promoting its transformation to weak acid extraction state and the absorption of Pb by Sedum Plumbizincicola.
