The influence factors in the process of asphalt impregnation and carbonization of C/C composite
The problem of layer slip and low weight gain often occurs during the impregnation carbonization process of carbon/carbon composite asphalt.This article analyzes the issue and conducts experimental research.The results show that the main causes of layer slip are the pre fabricated furnace loading method,the cooling stress of immersion cooling,and the carbonization process system.Adopting the method of cooling along with the furnace and loading in layers,while extending the carbonization process system,is an effective measure to solve the phenomenon of layer slip.The impregnation time,carbonization process system,and graphitization treatment are key factors affecting the weight gain rate.Extending the impregnation time can effectively improve the impregnation efficiency.When the time is extended to 16 hours,the impregnation efficiency remains basically unchanged.By using"fast at both ends and slow in the middle"to shorten the total carbonization time,the weight gain rate can be effectively improved.After 50 hours of carbonization,the weight gain rate is 21.4%,and the total carbonization time is further reduced to 40 hours,resulting in the problem of layer slip.
