Spatial Reengineering of Public Library Spaces:Theoretical Shift and Practical Approach
Public library space has architectural, sociological and philosophical significance, and needs to be analyzed from an interdisciplinary perspective to realize reshaping and reengineering.According to Lefebvre's spatial production theory, the third space theory and the postmodern urban planning theory, the spatial reengineering of public libraries cannot be limited to the material level, but also needs to open up spiritual space, social space and virtual space to achieve the unity of rational value and emotional value. In order to better meet the needs of readers and the development of society, public libraries need to explore the integration and innovative application of"virtual and real space",innovate the way of organizing and sharing resources, enrich cultural and spiritual connotations, enhance the interactive and communicative attributes, enhance the aesthetic and attractive of the space, making them an open spaces that integrate knowledge, learning, culture, and socializing, unleashing greater social value and development potential.
