Reading appears to be disembodied.However,the body is a materiality that we should not ignore when discussing reading.Reviewing the role of the body in mainstream reading theory and figuring out the concept of"body"will enable us to sort out the changes in mind-body relationships.The reading experience becomes divisive between the experience of consciousness and the body's experiences under Cartesian"mind-body dualism".While the concept of"Mind and Body as One"provides a new perspective on the reading experience through a return to the body.From the perspective of the mind-body relationship,we explore the changes in the experience of consciousness and body's experiences during the development of reading experience research.
