Practical Progress and Generation Strategy of Academic Library Service Innovation
Service innovation(SI)is the key issue for the high-quality development of academic libraries.Using a collection of three case studies of service innovation in academic libraries as the research object,a content analysis method revealed several findings.Firstly,the"Double First-Class"academic libraries lead the practice of SI in all fields,while the innovation consciousness and innovation ability of the non"Double First-Class"academic libraries begin to awaken and improve gradually.Secondly,the innovation activities of academic libraries in the eastern region are the most active,while the innovation activity of academic libraries in the western region is greatly improved.Thirdly,academic library service innovation has the characteristics of diversified innovation mode,layered innovation field,and ubiquitous innovation content.Based on these findings,we proposed a strategy framework WPMB for academic library service innovation by integrating the core elements of SI and the decision implementation process.We construct three kinds of strategies by composing different elements:improved innovation strategy,radical innovation strategy and leading innovation strategy.
