Research on the Library Fully Participates in the Construction of a New Public Cultural Space
The library fully participates in the supply of diversified urban and rural new public cultural space services,and moves from the image perception of the venue itself to a more ubiquitous cultural field identity,which is an important reform direction for the value and career efficiency of public libraries under the public cultural service system.By using qualitative analysis methods to code 39 typical new public cultural space policy texts,68 initial concepts and 7 basic categories were summarized,forming a policy environment framework for libraries to fully participate in the construction of new public cultural spaces with"construction subject,construction object,construction process and construction goals"as the basic elements.At present,the new public cultural spaces policy in China highlights innovative points such as inclusive and non-basic public cultural spaces,emphasizes weak points such as the construction of rural public cultural spaces,covers the basic points of the governance process of public cultural spaces,and highlights the strategic characteristics of local public cultural spaces.The study proposes that libraries should give full play to their own advantages in fully participating in the construction of new public cultural spaces,expand the radiation scope based on the general branch library system,innovate the service content based on the theory of third space,improve the evaluation system through evaluation and grading,and support the governance and operation according to management service standards.
