Investigation of University Students'Digital Competence
By conducting a questionnaire survey,749 valid samples were collected to investigate the status quo of the digital competence of university students in China,and to explore whether different groups of university students are facing the digital divide,and whether there is a correlation between digital experience and digital competence.The findings reveal:college students'self-reported digital literacy was generally good,but content and creative ability were their weaknesses;there is a digital divide among university students of different regions,genders and education levels;there is a significant positive relationship between the number of commonly used Apps by university students and the total score of digital competence and five sub-dimensions;however,the daily time of university students'digital devices only has a significant negative relationship with information and data,content and innovation,respectively.Therefore,this study puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for cultivating digital competence,that is integrating digital competence education and professional education to cultivate innovation competence,constructing an elaborate digital competence education system to bridge the digital divide,and creating diversified digital competence education scenes to promote all-round development.
