Systematic Review of the 20th China Information Resources Management Forum & the Establishment Conference of the China Information Resources Management Discipline Independent Knowledge System Alliance
The 20th China Information Resources Management Forum and the Establishment Conference of the China Information Resources Management Discipline Independent Knowledge System Alliance,jointly hosted by the School of Information Resource Management at Renmin University of China,the Discipline Planning and Construction Office of Renmin University of China,and the 8th Information Resources Management Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council,were successfully held in Beijing from October 20 to 21,2023.This conference focused on three topics:research on information resources management for national strategy,the construction and development of information resources management disciplines in inheritance and transformation,and emerging interdisciplinary fields.This conference jointly explored the opportunities and challenges that data resources and data elements brought to the development and intersection of disciplines,witnessed how traditional disciplines completed disciplinary transformation through continuous innovation,and jointly thought about the importance of constructing independent knowledge systems in the field of information management and the scientific landscape.Based on this,it is found that the discipline of information resources management in the new era presents four characteristics:a paradigm shift from"information"to"data";"standing tall and upright"is an inexhaustible driving force for the development of disciplines;inclusive and interdisciplinary has become the norm;building on past achievements to jointly usher in a new era,the construction of the independent knowledge system is at the right time.
