Study on the Framework and Path of Tactile Sensation Design of Physical Space in Libraries
Many library spaces suffer from"tactile hunger".Exploring the tactile sensation design of library physical space can provide some new ideas for improving library space services. The tactile sensation design of physical spaces in libraries is based on theories such as multi-sensory interaction and integration, ergonomics, and environmental psychology. Its value lies in extending the visual experience of readers, stimulating their tactile emotions, and creating an immersive experience. Its key points include safety, appropriateness, and flexibility. The physical design of library spaces can be based on four fundamental dimensions of readers'tactile perception:tactile sensation, tactile interpretation, tactile emotion, and tactile performance. The tactile sensation design can be developed along dimensions such as roughness-smoothness,softness-hardness,elasticity-plasticity,light-heavy,cold-hot,dry-wet.At the same time, various tactile attributes should complement each other to form the optimal combination of tactile stimuli.
