Review and Discussion on the Development of Information Literacy Education in University Libraries of China
The information literacy education in Chinese university libraries can be roughly divided into four stages:the literature retrieval and utilization method course in the 1980s,which clarified the educational function positioning of university libraries and the method course positioning of literature retrieval courses;in the 1990s,the course of literature retrieval and utilization and scientific methods presented a new positioning of scientific methods,reform and practice of computer retrieval,and emphasis on educational theory research;in the early 21 st century,information literacy education had the characteristics of an international research perspective and localized teaching practice exploration,becoming an important component of higher education and lifelong learning systems;since 2015,comprehensive literacy education has shown characteristics such as the systematization of information literacy education construction,the scale of online education,and the innovation of theory leading practice.Based on this,the future development direction of information literacy education in university libraries is to carry out information thinking education and improve the relationship and process of higher education.The education and research of information literacy in university libraries should adhere to the principles of integrity and value orientation;focus on cultivating innovative talents;carry out teacher information literacy education.
