Reading Guidance Books(1912-1949)and Their Construction of Reading Ideals
During the period of the Republic of China,reading guidance books constructed a set of idealized reading practices under the background of knowledge transformation.In terms of publishing,the production of reading guidance books was closely related to social factors such as the development of publishing industry and the reading movement,showing an interactive relationship that promoted and resonated with each other.Driven by commercial interests,enlightenment ideals,and political intentions,various forces depicted their own reading ideals.In terms of content,under the social transformation and the trend of thought,reading guidance books proposed reading methods for new books and new readers,and also reoriented the value of reading.
