Fusion of Reality and Virtuality,Co-creation of Value:Empowering Smart Library Service with Virtual Digital Human Technology
Virtual digital human is the core digital asset and interactive carrier in the metaverse,which has been developed and implemented in various industries such as entertainment,healthcare,and finance.Early research and implementation of virtual digital human service in library is helpful to promote the construction of the library metaverse ecosystem.Based on a systematic review of the theory and progress of virtual digital human,this article analyzes the impact of virtual digital human on library service.It proposes five scenarios for smart library service using virtual digital humans,including virtual publicizing,reference consultation,user education,immersive reading,and bibliotherapy.Application obstacles and development strategies of virtual digital humans in smart library service are also discussed.
