Under the context of integrating"physical space services+virtual services in academic libraries,this article pro-vides an in-depth analysis of the"2022 ACRL Academic Library Trends and Statistics Report."The report lists seven promi-nent development trends,covering various aspects of academic library management,resource development,and service provision.These trends include staffing challenges,the utilization of physical spaces,the growth of collaborative collections and shared print materials,open access,artificial intelligence,data management,and critical librarianship.Given the rapid development of the metaverse,the article proposes several necessary measures for the future development of university libraries in China.
