Abstract
Ancient Chinese medicine books are important carriers of traditional Chinese medicine in spreading the knowledge of pharmacology. Illustrations are vivid expressions of the texts. This article summarizes the classification,typography,main publishing areas and special features of ancient Chinese medical illustrations in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Through detail analysis and comparison, this article objectively points out the scientific and artistic values of ancient Chinese medical illustrations.
