"Afterlife"in the World of Personal Digital Memory:Factors Influencing Social Media Users'Willingness to Make a Will for Their Online Digital Legacy
The Internet era brings with it an increasing number of personal digital footprints,traces and imprints,prompting people to consider whether their online digital possessions should be"remembered"or"forgotten".Taking the issue of social media users'online digital legacy as a research consideration,a UIPEI model analysis framework of social media users'online digital legacy will from a digital native perspective was established,using the qualitative research method of grounded theory to analyze the interview data through a three-level coding process and clarify the mechanism among the main categories.The study found that user,digital information and social media platform factors directly influence social media users'willingness to make a digital legacy will.The factors of recipient and external environment indirectly affect the users'willingness.On this basis,some recommendations were proposed to protect and keep alive online digital heritage and personal digital memory,in terms of user cognition,platform services,policies and regulations.
