Interactive Digital Narrative-Based Bibliotherapy:Writing New Body Worlds in Canada
Based on the relevant research literature, this study analyzes the bibliotherapeutic practice of Writing New Body Worlds in Canada, which innovatively integrates digital media with bibliotherapy and uses interactive digital narrative technology for the first time to create a bibliotherapy platform for the public. With its interactive features,it integrates both reading and therapeutic guidance processes, provides accessible non-clinical interventions, and has large scale preventive health benefits.Accurate bibliotherapy based on data and computation is a new change that has more value for promotion and application.Based on the construction of online reading platforms, promoting the implementation of platform-based bibliotherapy should become one of the future development directions. As the forms and experiences of reading have been changed by technological empowerment, libraries should play a leading role in collecting, creating or supporting the creation of digital stories, promoting the integration of reading promotion, services and therapy, becoming facilitators of community building, appreciators of history and advocates of community participation, and enabling reading through interactive digital narratives to be a new vehicle to better harness the power of change and promote health and well-being.
