Impact of Family Parenting and Support Pressures on Librarians'Subjective Well-being
Against the backdrop of fertility policy adjustment and population aging, the impact of librarians'child-rearing and elderly-care burdens on their subjective well-being is noteworthy. This article examines the influence of parenting and elder care on librarians'subjective well-being,using the number of children and the number of elderly dependents as independent variables, subjective well-being as the dependent variable, and job satisfaction as the mediator. The study shows that librarians with two children have the strongest subjective well-being;librarians with many children but no elderly dependents have lower subjective well-being;and librarians who have both greater parenting and elder care pressures have poorer personal growth and development experiences.
