System Dynamics Simulation Analysis of Think Tanks'Knowledge Service Development Mechanism:Taking CAST for Example
This paper proposes a revised theoretical model of think tanks'knowledge service development mechanism based on system dynamics.Taking China Association for Science and Technology for example,and with the help of Vensim PLE,it tries to identify the key elements in the model and their interrelationships,aiming to establish a simulation model which is applicable to the knowledge service development mechanism of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics.The simulation analysis shows that the revised model is composed of four key elements,i.e.,customers'knowledge service demand,think tanks'knowledge service capability,knowledge service innovative ideas,and knowledge service ecosystem.Customers'knowledge service demand is the driving force of think tanks'knowledge service development,which keeps pushing the generation of innovative ideas and the lift of think tanks'knowledge service capability.Think tanks'knowledge service capability,which is cultivated through the application of various knowledge service patterns,is the guaranteeing condition for satisfying customers'knowledge service demands as well as generating innovative ideas.Think tanks'knowledge service ecosystem is the unified whole that promotes the sustainable development of think tanks'knowledge service.Think tanks continuously provides specialized,globalized and branded knowledge services for customers through innovative ideas,and promotes customers to continuously generate new knowledge service demands.
