Factors Influencing College Students'Perceived Information Security Risk on Social Media
This article proposes some hypotheses on the relationship of factors influencing perceived risk of information security in social media.By examining the social media bases of college students,it surveys their risk perception through questionnaires, and establishes a structural equation model, which was validated and tested for mediation effects based on the questionnaire data. The study suggests that:there is a significant gap between urban and rural areas in the perceived information security risk in social media among college students, and they mainly adopt systematic processing strategies in the face of information security risks;media trust, sense of belonging to a social group, and involvement cognition affect systematic processing, and knowledge and information validity affect heuristic-systematic processing;systematic processing plays a full mediating role between knowledge, media trust, sense of belonging to a social group, involvement cognition, information validity, and risk perception, with negative emotions directly and positively affecting risk perception.
