Application Trends of Research Methods in LIS Journal Articles in 2023
The selection and application of research methods have a significant impact on the depth and reliability of scientific studies,making them critical to the advancement of scientific research.This study,based on a review of methodological research in the field of Library and Information Science(LIS),systematically organizes,summarizes,and codes the research methods commonly used in LIS.Using papers from 11 top LIS journals in 2023 as a data source,it conducts a statistical analysis of the trends in the use of research methods in LIS journal articles,and explores the impact of factors such as the nature of the LIS discipline,the subjects,and the authors'academic backgrounds on the choice of research methods.The results show that the content of research methods used in LIS articles is continuously evolving,with interdisciplinary approaches,emerging theoretical methods,and diverse research methodologies contributing to the depth and richness of research in LIS.
