A Knowledge Graph of Ancient Warfare——Taking the Song and Yuan Dynasties as an Example
This article aims to semantically organize and describe the literature resources of ancient warfare using the concept and technology of knowledge graph, transforming unstructured texts into the knowledge graphs digitally represented with multi-dimensional information such as events, people, time and place, thus facilitating researchers to conduct deeper explorations. The article adopts Event Ontology to develop a semantic model of war ontology, extracts named entities such as people, time, and places related to war events based on pattern matching and pre-trained models, and uses Neo4j and Gephi to store, present and mine war knowledge graphs.By integrating dispersed war history materials with events at their core,an interconnected and multi-dimensional knowledge graph is created, making resources more accessible and usable. However, the ontology does not correlate the political and economic information from the same period, and the semantic model needs to be further optimized.
