Childcare Support Services in Japanese Public Libraries
Public libraries play an important role in social programs to support parenting.Japanese public libraries have developed a variety of childcare services to reduce families'childcare costs,improve the quality of parenting,and promote the willingness to have babies.By examining the childcare support services of Japanese public libraries,this article explores the operation and characteristics of the service mechanism focusing on resource development,values,and social cooperation.It suggests that public libraries in China should jointly promote the strategy of encouraging more births by drawing on the experience of Japan.
