Developing a Knowledge Ontology for Ancient Architecture by Integrating HBIM and Humanistic Knowledge
There are more and more digital ancient architecture projects, but they lack multi-level representation of humanistic knowledge and knowledge correlation. With the increasing application of HBIM in the field of ancient architecture,it is urgent to develop and utilize HBIM files. This article explores the integration of HBIM with humanistic knowledge. With a summary of the characteristics of information in HBIM and humanistic knowledge of ancient architecture,it summarizes the humanistic knowledge of ancient architecture in the YingZao FaYuan and the Database of Jiangsu Immovable Cultural Relics, thereby establishing an ontology framework.Using the Five Peaks Garden's HBIM and its humanistic knowledge as instances, the ontology framework is introduced and reasoning is performed. Finally, the ontology instances are stored in the Neo4j database and related applications are demonstrated using the Revit API.The study shows that ancient architecture HBIM can be associated with humanistic knowledge of ancient buildings at multiple levels through ontologies, which has some significance in semantic retrieval of humanistic knowledge of ancient architecture and retrieval of architectural component sets.
