A Review of Research on the Digitalization of Cultural Heritage at Home and Abroad in 2023
By clarifying the concept of"cultural heritage digitalization",this article reviews the domestic and foreign literature on related topics in 2023,and extracts four hot topics in the field:digital storage and processing of cultural heritage,digital inheritance and protection of cultural heritage,digital presentation and dissemination of cultural heritage,and digital services and development of cultural heritage.The research on cultural heritage digitalization is characterized by diverse methodologies that promote the interdisciplinary integration,complex study subjects that require comprehensive application of a variety of technical means,and concentrated research themes that continuously expand the depth and breadth of the research.There are some shortcomings in research,such as the lack of holistic and systematic research results,insufficient attention to cultural content and value,and the lack of in-depth analysis of user characteristics and primary needs.Prospective studies can focus on the coordinated promotion of cultural heritage preservation and development,the full integration of culture and technology,and the establishment of a diversified service supply system,thus providing references for further research.
