The information cocoon effect in digital reading can easily lead to readers'information narrowing and knowledge limitations.Identifying the triggering factors of information cocoon can help to explore countermeasures to break the cocoon and promote reading promotion. This paper selects 4 dimensions of condition variables:information characteristic, personalized selection, algorithm recommendation, and social environment, and adopts the method of fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)to conduct configuration analysis on the triggering factors of information cocoon effect. The results show that the emergence of information cocoon effect in digital reading is influenced by multiple factors. The configuration path coverage rate is the highest, which is composed of three factors:information characteristics, personalized choice, and algorithm recommendation, and social environments can also trigger information cocoons without the influence of the above three factors.Based on this,a reading strategy is proposed to eliminate or weaken the information cocoon effect in digital reading,in order to provide scientific reference for the governance of the information cocoon in digital reading.
