The case study method was used to study 11 children's popular science reading promotion projects in Shenzhen public libraries,and compared with the requirements of scientific literacy cultivation.The results show that the children's popular science reading promotion project of public libraries in Shenzhen have the characteristics of paying attention to the coordinated development of scientific literacy and reading literacy,fitting the characteristics of children and attaching importance to practical innovation,taking public libraries as the main body,forming synergies with multiple parties,and creating brand activities based on local characteristic resources.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the development direction,which is to segment the audience and enrich the level of science education,integrate it with the school curriculum and actively integrate into the informal science education support system,strengthen horizontal cooperation and realize interlibrary linkage,build a science popularization community to promote the sharing of high-quality science resources.
