英国国家图书馆古籍数字化资源建设、利用实践及启示——以"两个世纪的印度印刷本"项目为例

英国国家图书馆十分重视利用现代技术实现古籍资源的建设与利用,"两个世纪的印度印刷本"项目是其主导的多个具有影响力的古籍数字化项目之一.文章以此为例,利用网络调查法,对该项目的古籍数字化建设特色工作进行归纳,并总结出举办线上展览、建立用户交互栏目与组织主题研讨会3个突出的数字化资源利用经验.基于此,我国古籍存藏机构在开展古籍数字化工作时可以从主动寻求与相关机构合作、推进现代技术实践、多样化资源利用形式和创新传播策略4个方面入手,进一步推动文化遗产的传承与利用.
Abstract
The British Library attaches great importance to the construction and utilization of ancient book resources through modern technology.The'Two Centuries of Indian Print'project is one of its influential ancient book digitization projects led by the British Library.Taking it as an example,this article uses online survey methods to summarize the characteristics of digital construction of ancient books in this project and concludes with three prominent experiences in utilizing digital resources:hosting online exhibitions,establishing user interactive sections,and organizing thematic seminars.Based on this,when carrying out digitization work for ancient books,Chinese institutions responsible for preserving ancient books can actively seek cooperation with relevant organizations,promote the application of modern technology,diversify forms of resource utilization,and innovate communication strategies.These will further promote the inheritance and utilization of cultural heritage.
