Under the background of the increasing trend of library intelligence,the continuous development of virtual reality technology has brought new ideas and methods to the virtual reality reading services of libraries.This paper discusses the development status of VR reading services in domestic public libraries from the perspective of users.Based on the theory of compensatory media,the theory of use and satisfaction,and the theory of embodied cognition,this paper constructs an evaluation index system of user experience of virtual reality reading services in public libraries from five dimensions:environmental experience,service experience,interactive experience,immersive experience,and media compensation experience through questionnaire survey,expert consultation and user interviews,conducts empirical research,summarizes the existing problems,and proposes the full-link collaborative development strategy of"upstream-interlibrary-downstream"VR reading service in the library.
